This policy explains how Home Cooked Meals handles order requests, local delivery, delivery timing, changes, cancellations, failed delivery and payment-related issues.

Order Requests Are Not Automatic Confirmation
Submitting an order or pre-order request through the website does not automatically create a confirmed order. It is a request based on the menu, availability and delivery details shown at the time.
We review requests manually so we can check food availability, delivery area, delivery time, minimum order rules, customer notes and any practical issue before accepting the order.
Your order becomes final only after we confirm it directly with you.
Local Delivery Area
Delivery is currently local and personal, mainly within and the delivery zones configured on the website.
Delivery may depend on postcode, distance, route, order size, preparation schedule and available time slots. We may decline a request if delivery is not practical for the selected address or time.

Delivery Dates and Times
Preferred delivery dates and times submitted through the website are requests until we confirm them. We aim to agree a practical time before the order becomes final.
Delivery may be affected by preparation time, traffic, weather, route, order size, family circumstances or events outside our control. If a delay occurs, we will try to contact you as soon as reasonably possible.
Minimum Order, Portions and Delivery Fee
A minimum order amount, minimum number of portions or delivery fee may apply depending on the delivery zone.
Some dishes may also have practical portion limits because they are cooked in small batches. These limits help keep preparation realistic and reduce waste.

Payments
Online payment is not currently available on this website. Payment is arranged directly after an order request has been reviewed and confirmed.
Payment may initially be made by cash on delivery, collection or another direct method agreed with us. If online or card payments are added later, this policy may be updated.
Until online payment is added:
- The website does not collect card details.
- A submitted order request is not proof of payment.
- Prices, delivery fees and totals may be confirmed before the order becomes final.
Changes to an Order Request
If you need to change dishes, portions, delivery date, delivery time, address or notes, please contact us as soon as possible.
Changes may be possible before preparation starts. Once ingredients have been bought, preparation has started, food has been packed or delivery has been arranged, changes may not be possible.
Cancellations
You may ask to cancel before the order is confirmed or before preparation starts. Because food is prepared fresh and ingredients may be bought specifically for a confirmed order, late cancellations may not always be possible.
We may cancel or refuse an order request if ingredients are unavailable, delivery is not practical, minimum order conditions are not met, customer details are incomplete, or we cannot safely or realistically fulfil the request.
Any cancellation charge or decision will be handled reasonably and case by case, taking into account whether preparation, ingredient purchase, packing or delivery has already started.
Refunds
Because online payment is not currently taken through the website, refunds will usually not apply at website checkout stage.
If payment has been made directly and an order cannot be fulfilled, we will discuss a suitable solution. This may include cancelling the order, rearranging delivery, replacing unavailable items, reducing the total or refunding where appropriate.
Failed Delivery
Please provide a complete and accurate delivery address, postcode, phone number and any helpful delivery instructions. If we cannot reach you at the agreed time, we will try to contact you using the details provided.
Fresh food may not be suitable for long waiting times or repeated delivery attempts. If delivery fails because the address is incorrect, nobody is available, or we cannot contact you, the outcome will depend on the circumstances and will be handled case by case.
