Allergen Information

Important information about allergens, ingredients and pre-order confirmation.

Effective Date: 27 April 2026

Allergen Information

Please check allergen information carefully before placing a pre-order, especially if you or someone eating the food has an allergy, intolerance or coeliac disease.

01

Important Allergy Notice

Home Cooked Meals UK provides allergen information for each dish where relevant. Before placing a pre-order, please read the dish page carefully and check the listed ingredients, declared allergens and any additional notes.

If you have an allergy, intolerance, coeliac disease or a strict dietary requirement, please write this clearly in the pre-order notes and wait for us to confirm the order before relying on it.

Do not rely only on the dish name. Always check the full dish details and contact us if you need clarification.

02

The 14 Regulated Allergens

UK food businesses must provide information when any of the 14 regulated allergens are used as ingredients. These are:

Cereals containing gluten
Crustaceans
Eggs
Fish
Peanuts
Soya
Milk
Nuts
Celery
Mustard
Sesame
Sulphur dioxide / sulphites
Lupin
Molluscs

For pre-orders and delivery, allergen information should be available before ordering and when food is delivered.

03

Allergen Information on Dish Pages

Each dish page may include ingredients, allergens and notes relevant to that specific dish. This allows customers to check details before sending a pre-order.

Because the menu is based on fresh cooking and ingredient availability, we may confirm allergen information again before accepting the order.

What To Check

  • Dish name and description
  • Ingredients listed on the dish page
  • Declared allergens
  • Dietary tags, if shown

When To Ask

If anything is unclear, please contact us before ordering or write your question in the pre-order notes.

04

Before Placing a Pre-order

Please tell us about any allergy, intolerance, coeliac disease or dietary requirement when submitting the pre-order. This helps us confirm whether the requested food is suitable before the order becomes final.

Tell us which allergen or ingredient must be avoided.
Tell us who the allergy or requirement applies to.
Wait for confirmation before treating the order as accepted.
Ask questions before eating if anything is unclear.
05

Allergen Information at Delivery

When an order is confirmed, we aim to make sure the food delivered matches the dish and allergen information discussed or shown before ordering.

If the recipe, ingredients or availability changes, we will aim to tell you before the order is final. If you are unsure when the food is delivered, please contact us before eating it.

Please check on delivery:

  • The dish received matches your confirmed order.
  • Any allergy or dietary note has been discussed and confirmed.
  • You contact us before eating if anything seems different or unclear.
06

Our Approach

We take care to provide clear information and to prepare food according to the confirmed order. The goal is to make allergen information practical, accurate and easy to check.

Customers are responsible for telling us about allergies or dietary requirements before the order is confirmed, and for checking the delivered food before eating.

Need allergen clarification?

Please contact us before placing a pre-order if you have any allergy, intolerance or dietary concern.
